Passport Tracking Guide

There are various ways to track a passport as it is being processed or when it is shipping to the applicant.

passport.status.gov is used once an application is submitted. This Department of State tracking system is able to track an application about one day after it is submitted to the Agency. The processing of the application in 48 hours involves the following stages of processing: Processing, Approved,Shipping, Tracking Number for either UPS or USPS Priority Mail.

fedex.com is used to track FedEx packages

ups.com is for tracking packages sent via UPS from the Passport Agency

usps.com is also used to track passports mailed out from the Passport Agency using Priority Mail with tracking
