48Hour Passport does not issue passports. The issuance of US passports to US citizens is exclusively controlled by the State Department's Passport Agency. The Passport Agency reserves the right to request additional information and supporting documentation. We have no control over these requirements, but if your application is rejected, we will promptly notify you and inform you of the new information needed. Please note that service fees paid to Legal Passport and the State Department are non-refundable.

Please inform the agent if you have any issues that might prevent you from obtaining a passport, such as a criminal conviction, child support obligations, incomplete criminal probation, or owing money to the US government from overseas loans.

During the adjudication process, the US government may temporarily suspend a passport application if additional information is needed. This can occur for various reasons, including the need for more identification or documentation, birth record problems, routine name holds, fraud concerns, or multiple lost passports. The Adjudicator has the authority to request any necessary information to meet the passport requirements.

If your passport application is placed in suspense, it is crucial to act quickly to resolve the issue. The US Department of State will keep a suspense application active for ninety (90) days, after which it will be considered abandoned if not resolved. Please be aware that the US Department of State does not refund application fees once the application has been submitted. It is important to address the issue associated with your name in order to obtain any future passports. We recommend informing our company in advance if you believe your application may be placed in suspense, so that you can address and resolve any problems prior to submission.

Legal Passport Services does not have control over any US Passport Agency's decision to issue passports to our customers in the field of passport expediting. All applications are submitted based on the available criteria.
